Rebecca Wilson. Dirty Rotten Peaches.

Dirty Rotten Peaches’ are part a body of work entitled Eat Me; Keep Me. The series focuses on the notion of self indulgence. In exploring the parallels between ‘valuable’ and ‘everyday’ I have drawn a symmetry of opposites between porcelain and confectionary items; both are similarly self indulgent, inspire desire and are coveted, but both are fundamentally frivolous. Found objects and fruits are cast in subtly stained porcelain, and details are delicately added using an icing bag. In ‘Dirty Rotten Peaches’ the innocent fruits transform tantalisingly into voluptuous little ladies bottoms sprouting delicate gold leaves and other unmentionable things.

I love pieces with meaning. Esp. if they’re cool and easy to get. Like this one lol. It’s unique but not too above you. <3 plus it’s adorable and combines two of my favorite things— food and sensuality. Yayy.. (they don’t always have to be together though haha)

This week, after I finish my LAST 3 CONFINEMENTS (OHHH YEAHHH BAYYYBEEE!!!), I will

• PAINT/ SKETCH SOMETHING!!!
• GO OUTSIDE! And like hike or whatever people do outside! Somebody help me!! Stanley Canyon/ find that reservoir thing adventure? :D
• Get my damn zen on and do some yoga in the SAR or something
• Re-watch those how to bellydance vids

YES IT’S AMBITIOUS! This picture has inspired me lol. With its wildly awesome and intense inky lines and splotches. I absolutely love it. And the face’s expression is so stolid/ almost to the point of grimacing.. so cool!!
